Greetings!

Last week was a whirlwind of activity and excitement at the CAW Constitutional and Collective Bargaining Convention. The union made headlines with the speech by Bank of Canada Governor Mark Carney, was moved by AIDS-Free World Co-Director Stephen Lewis, riled up by Parliamentary Budgetary Officer Kevin Page, inspired to act by LeadNow’s Julia Pope and excited for the future with the New Union Project with CEP. And so much more.

What a week!

If you didn’t get to attend the convention, or want to watch a presentation again, don’t worry we’ve got you covered.

Missed the New Union Project discussion and vote? Or CAW Economist Jim Stanford as JIMFAO? We’ve got it in the video library: http://www.caw2012.ca/multimedia/video-library/

Also, check out exciting photos from the convention, including photos from the rally at Bell, in defence of locked out Bell TV workers.

All convention materials can be found on the site www.caw2012.ca

Was live streaming ever a hit! We had nearly 5,000 people tune in to the live streaming during the convention hours. This means that for every person in the convention hall, five more were watching live from home, their workplace or on their mobile device. If you were one of these 5,000 – please click here.

Amazingly, each person watches an average of 1 hour and 20 minutes - that’s an almost unheard of length of time in the Internet age, for a total of 5,736 hours viewed!

We were successful on the social media front too – with 1410 tweets for the hashtag #caw2012 and 28 tweets for the hashtag #tcaqc2012. And by early Friday morning, our Flickr photo gallery had more nearly 18,000 views! Check it out: http://www.flickr.com/photos/caw2012tca/sets/
